Honoring Addy, Helping Families
Addy's Army (501(c)(3))
Adalyn "Addy" Shepard was a lefty pitcher, a joyful twin, and a light that made everyone around her better. Addy's Army Foundation carries her spirit forward — supporting families facing childhood illness and funding the fight against childhood leukemia.
Addy's Story
A normal summer day. A bloody nose. Then words no parent is ever prepared to hear. Addy faced AML with the same fierce spirit she brought to the softball mound — and her light never left, even in the darkest moments.
Our Mission
Founded by Dave and Angie Shepard in Addy's honor, Addy's Army exists to do three things: give kids meaningful experiences, support families in their hardest moments, and fund the research that will one day cure childhood leukemia.
- Youth sports scholarships and grants for children facing illness
- Financial support for families navigating pediatric cancer
- Funding for AML and childhood leukemia research
- Events that celebrate Addy's joy and grow her Army
About Addy's Army
Addy loved softball, art projects, Nutella, Taylor Swift, and the people around her — and she had a smile that made every room feel warmer. Addy's Army honors that legacy by pouring into the kids and families who need it most. From Strike Out Cancer fundraisers to crisis grants, everything we do carries her name and her spirit.
Join Addy's Army
Addy's smile was infectious. Her Army intends to be too. Every donation, every shared post, and every act of kindness helps a family who is walking the road the Shepards know too well. You don't have to do everything — just something.
